Dr Sithembiso Mnqobi Sthandwa Ndlovu

Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI)

Sithembiso Ndlovu is a Research Associate at AHRI, contributing to the study which explores the impact of extreme weather events on the mental health of vulnerable populations in Africa (WEMA), and he coordinates participatory research activities at the AHRI study site. He holds a Bachelor of Social Work with Psychology and a Master of Public Health in Social and Behavioural Sciences from the University of Cape Town, and a PhD in Public Health from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. With over seven years of qualitative research experience, including participatory visual methods (community-engaged research), his work focuses on HIV prevention, extreme weather events, mental health, and community health, with a particular interest in the social dimensions of HIV and AIDS among men in underserved communities. He has published widely and contributed to several scholarly outputs.
