Dr Thandeka Khoza is a clinical trialist, with over 10 years’ experience working in clinical research. She is currently the head of Clinical Research at Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI), where she provides technical support and clinical governance for all implementation research. She was the Senior Program Manager at Northstar Alliance, where she oversaw multi-site research across Southern and Eastern Africa. Prior to which, she was the Senior Clinical Advisor for the Wits RHI Key Populations Program, which focused on HIV prevention and management among sex workers and transgender populations. As a clinician, she has a background public health, with a focus on health promotion and health systems strengthening. Her key interests lie in implementation science and translational research, for which she serves on multiple consortiums and technical working groups and has contributed towards numerous peer reviewed articles.
