The Climate Impacts Awards support research that helps deepen understanding of the physical and mental health consequences of climate change, while translating evidence into climate policy and decision-making at scale. Through WEMA, the study partners are working to generate meaningful data, explore the wider social and economic implications of climate-related health outcomes, and engage stakeholders in shaping responses that are grounded in evidence and equity.
As climate-related events become more frequent and severe, research like this is essential to ensuring that the experiences of affected communities are seen, understood and reflected in policy.
